PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which avoids the occurrence of an abnormal image even in long-term repeated use and excels in durability and stability of image quality. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an electrophotographic photoreceptor; a charging means; an imagewise exposing means to form an electrostatic latent image; a developing means to develop the electrostatic latent image; and a transfer means to transfer a developed image, wherein the photoreceptor has on a conductive substrate a photosensitive layer containing at least a charge generating material, a specific naphthalenetetracarboxylic acid diimide type charge transport material and an o-hydroxyphenyltriazole compound.
