PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate excellent in water resistance and in discoloration resistance at high temperature and high humidity. SOLUTION: The polarizing plate is obtained by stacking a protective film on at least one surface of a polarizing film by way of an adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layer contains a reaction product of an acetoacetic ester group-containing polyvinyl alcohol-based resin and an acetal compound having a dialkyl acetal group and one aldehyde group within a molecule.
