PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus equipped with an optical path reflection type zoom lens which secures an angle of view, a variable power ratio and optical performance, has shortened pushing-out time of a lens, and is advantageous in terms of water-tightness/dust-tightness. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is equipped with the zoom lens and an imaging device arranged on the image side of the lens. The zoom lens has a positive first lens group G1 including a reflection optical member having a reflection surface for reflecting an optical path, a negative second lens group G2, a positive third lens group G3, a positive fourth lens group G4, and a brightness stop S arranged between the second lens group G2 and the fourth lens group G4 in order from an object side. The first lens group G1 is positionally fixed to the position of the imaging device, and power is varied from a wide angle end to a telephoto end by moving at least the second lens group G2 and the fourth lens group G4 so as to change respective spaces held between the respective lens groups.
