PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-car handrail device for an elevator, suitable for the elevator with a handrail of universal design today. SOLUTION: The hand rail 15 is mounted adjacent to or in contact with the face of a car wall 1 and has a planarly or gently curved upper face whose width is 40 mm or greater. The in-car handrail device comprises a plurality of supporting tools 11 mounted on the car wall face, protruded parts 13 protruded upward from the front ends of the supporting tools, and the handrail 15 placed on the upper faces of the supporting tools between the back face of the protruded part and the car wall face in a bridged condition and having the planarly or gently curved upper face whose width is 40 mm or greater.
