The machine has a base (1) carrying a frame (2) holding a working spindle (7) on a horizontal axis (Z). A chuck (19) can grip a workpiece (10) and move vertically (Y) in a carriage (18). The vertical carriage is mounted on a carriage (17) which can move horizontally (X) along a fixed guide track (15). The workpieces may move in two separate transport tracks (25,26). There is a magazine for different tools (29) under the working spindle.
