PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer capable of satisfying both of marginless printing on a whole printing face of a printing medium and reduction of a time period necessary for a recovery operation of a nozzle. SOLUTION: Three conveyance belts 1 to 3 for conveying a printing medium loaded thereon are arranged in a conveyance direction of the printing medium. Opening sections 15 to 17 each covering at least a whole printing face of the printing medium to be conveyed when the conveyance belts 1 to 3 are superposed thereto in a prescribed condition and having a size smaller than the printing face of the recording medium, are formed on the conveyance belts 1 to 3, respectively. Head units 7 to 9 of inkjet head unit groups 4 to 6 for performing printing by ejecting ink droplets to the printing medium are provided to be opposed to the conveyance faces for the printing medium of the respective conveyance belts 1 to 3. The head units 7 to 9 are provided with nozzles at regions where the opening sections 15 to 17 of the respective conveyance belts 1 to 3 pass through at least one time. Maintenance units 10 to 12 for recovering the nozzles are provided to the inner circumferences of the conveyance belts 1 to 3, respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
