PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level shift circuit further reducing power consumption without increasing a power supply voltage to be used, and to provide a switching power supply unit using the same. SOLUTION: An output signal OUT to be output from a logic input circuit 10 is input into a terminal EN of a control circuit 21 via an inverter IV1. The control circuit 21 operates when the signal input into the terminal EN is in H level, and generates a switching signal and outputs the generated signal so that an output voltage Vout of an output stage may be a predetermined voltage. A signal to be inputted into a transistor M3 of the logic input circuit 10 is generated from a switching signal and a signal to be input into the terminal EN by an inverter IV3 and an AND gate A0, and the transistor M3 is used to control a current flowing to a transistor M2.
