PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information management device that uses as a medium for information recording a random-accessible recording medium having solved defect problems of a recording medium where only sequential information description and reproduction are possible like conventional video tapes, and records and stores photographic data of an electronic camera recording photographic information on the random-accessible recording medium as information that a user can view through easy operation. SOLUTION: An image file of several to tens of seconds generated during photography is recorded in a mass-storage recording medium where the image file and a menu can be written by automatically generating the menu in which the user can easily specify an image for reproduction according to conditions of a photographic time range etc. For the reproduction, the image management device displays a menu screen, and selects and displays an image that the user specifies over a look at the menu screen.
