PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator of a rotating electrical machine in which not only a coil conductor can be attached easily to a slot but also circularity can be set easily and magnetic characteristics can be made uneven. SOLUTION: A rectangular conductor 1L is wound planarly in continuous wave and shaped into a tubular coil 2 which is then supported on a jig 4. While winding a belt shape steel plate 8 having slots 13 spirally and continuously from the outer circumferential side of the tubular coil 2, the slot 13 is attached to the tubular coil 2, thus forming a stator core 17 having predetermined dimensions of lamination.
