PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent images from being stained with toner. SOLUTION: Toner offset on a fixing roller due to soft roller on-demand fixing is cleaned off. Two or more fixing rollers are brought into contact with the fixing roller, a cleaning sheet is sandwiched between the furthest upstream heater and the fixing roller, and offset toner is heated. By changing the position of the cleaning sheet by a predetermined amount for each predetermined number of prints, offset toner is removed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
