The present invention relates to an anode material of a secondary battery and a secondary battery using the same. The anode material of a secondary battery according to the present invention is prepared by coating a core carbon material with a low crystallinity carbon material and sintering the materials, wherein a pressed density ratio of the anode material is 0.9 or more. The present invention can improve a protection function against a reaction with an electrolyte liquid on the surface of the anode material to improve efficiency and cycleability of the secondary battery.
