The method for roughening component surfaces (2) of the internal combustion engines to improve adhesion of layers, which are thermally sprayed onto the surface, comprises roughening the surface under the formation of microscopic undercuts, and introducing obliquely running molding pockets (1) into the surface by pulsed laser beam (9) with inclination angles (6) of 20-80[deg] . The molding pockets are dimensioned, so that one of the edges of the molding pockets forms the undercut in relation to the metal surface. The component surfaces are made of metal, plastic or ceramic. The surface is repeatedly treated with pulsed laser beam in area-wise manner. A directional angle, inclination angle and/or other laser energy are used in the further laser treatments. The surface is treated in a predetermined area of the surfaces simultaneously or in the directly following pulse with two laser beams and with different directional angles, inclination angles and/or laser energies in area-wise manner. The roughened metal surface is coated with a layer, which is sprayed by arc-wire spraying process, without further processing step. The structure interval (4) is adjusted to a value beneath the structure diameter (5) to be expected, so that coherent molding pockets are formed. An independent claim is included for a component with metal-, plastic- and ceramic surface and with microscopic undercuts.
|
