The connector has a contact pin (1) with a press fit, where the contact pin is inserted into a housing (3) and contacts with a signal line or a current supply. The contact pin is inserted into a cover shaped retainer of a cover pivot (2), which is fixed to the housing. A hardening fluid e.g. acrylic lacquer, is provided in an attachment area between the contact pin and the cover pivot. Another contact pin is arranged at the retainer, where the retainer has a blind hole. The former contact pin has an end section with a rectangular cross-section. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a plug connector.
