摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive active material for a nonaqueous battery excellent in heat stability, high load characteristics, and cycle characteristics; and to provide the battery. <P>SOLUTION: The battery contains the positive active material formed by mixing a nickel lithium composite oxide (a positive active material 1) represented by formula (1) and lithium manganese composite oxide (a positive active material 2) represented by formula 2 in a mixing ratio (mass ratio) of 80:20 to 90:10. [Formula 1]: Li<SB>x</SB>Ni<SB>(1-y-z)</SB>Co<SB>y</SB>Mn<SB>z</SB>A<SB>a</SB>O<SB>2</SB>.
