<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform more suitable air conditioning by recognizing an area where a human body present in air-conditioning space exists even when the human body is at rest. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner includes: a pyroelectric infrared ray sensor unit having a plurality of pyroelectric infrared ray sensors having a light receiving part for receiving infrared rays emitted from the human body, a shield guide for partitioning a detection area of each pyroelectric infrared ray sensor, a shutter capable of intercepting the light receiving part of each pyroelectric infrared sensor, and a motor for driving the shutter; an operation part for determining the presence/absence of a human body based on the output of the pyroelectric infrared ray sensor unit; a control device for outputting a driving signal to an actuator to perform the wind direction control based on the output of the operation part; and a wind direction board driven by the actuator, wherein the wind direction control is performed for the detection area determined to have presence of a human body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
