PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner, including a wind direction board capable of holding down ventilation resistance in blowing the blow-out air from an indoor unit toward the front and controlling the wind direction in a range wider than the lateral wind direction control range defined by the dimensions, number and rotating angle of the wind direction boards. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner configured to suck interior air, perform heat exchange and blow out the air, the wind direction board for controlling the wind direction in the lateral direction is provided at a blow-out port of the indoor unit, the wind direction board includes a wind direction board on the upstream side of the wind direction and a wind direction board on the downstream side of the wind direction, the downstream wind direction board is housed in the interior of the upstream wind direction board, and the downstream wind direction board is moved to the downstream in the wind direction in such a range as to hold the state where the downstream wind direction board is housed in the upstream wind direction board, thereby expanding and contracting the whole wind direction board to the downstream of the wind direction.
