PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finishing method for dry cutting capable of finishing a non-defective in stead of producing a defective even when the cutting heat increases the temperature of a workpiece and finishing is carried out in a hot state. SOLUTION: The finishing method for dry cutting using a machine tool for dry cutting is characterized by comprising the first process of measuring the workpiece temperature t2 and subtracting the room temperature t1 from the workpiece temperature t2 to obtain work raised temperature t in completing roughening/intermediate machining and beginning finishing, the second process of obtaining a finishing dimension D1 after expansion of the workpiece from its reference dimension D caused by the workpiece raised temperature t, the third process of adding tolerance to the finishing dimension D1 after the expansion so as to decide the final finishing dimension D2, and the fourth process of correcting the reference dimension D to the final finishing dimension D2 and executing an NC program.
