PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air separation method continuously separating without stopping raw material to be separated, having a further high separation accuracy. SOLUTION: In a separation apparatus surrounded with an outer wall all over the lateral circumference, discharge ports are provided at upper and lower ends, a horizontal plate 34 is disposed in the apparatus with a space from the outer wall 33, a supply pipe 30 supplying the separating object using air is inserted from the lower end discharge port 31 or penetrated through the outer wall from the vicinity of the discharge port, the up draft discharged from the discharge port of the supply pipe is run roughly vertically to the lower face of the horizontal plate, the supply pipe is surrounded from the lower side of the horizontal plate toward the lower discharge port, and a partition 36 is provided with upper and lower ends opened.
