An electroluminescence element is provided with an electroluminescence substrate and a sealing substrate. The electroluminescence substrate is provided with a thin film transistor substrate, and a light emitting layer which is arranged on the thin film transistor substrate and divided by unit pixel at pixel separation sections. The sealing substrate hermetically seals the light emitting layer of the electroluminescence substrate. At least the electroluminescence substrate or the sealing substrate has flexibility. A spacer is arranged between the electroluminescence substrate and the sealing substrate.
