A method for acquiring and transmitting user location information and network device thereof are provided in the present invention. The method for acquiring the user location information includes: a serving session control function entity receiving message transmitted from a HSS that takes user access network type and user location information, the message can be CxDx interface protocol message; the serving session control function entity acquires the user access network type and the user location information from the received message, for example, CxDx interface protocol message. The said method for acquiring user location information may have multi-application, for example, the serving session control function entity can keep up the call after filling in the short number dialed by the user in the calling service of the user; the method could be applied during roaming charging for the calling service of the user, etc. The serving session control function entity in the present invention embodiment could acquire user location information that is exact and believable, and enable the services, for example, call service and message service, and so on, can be achieved successfully, and could perform exact charging process for the call service. |
