A key comprising a key blade that includes a penetrating portion for insertion into a keyway of a lock, with at least one key combination surface for interacting with control elements of the lock, the penetrating portion comprising at lease one flexible moveable element initially in a retracted state not protruding beyond said at least one key combination surface, said at least one flexible moveable element cooperating with an actuator integral to the key the that when inserted in the keyway is actuated within the keyway and deploys said at least one flexible moveable element beyond said at least one key combination surface.
