A structural member (1) includes: a compression-side wall part (10a, 12a, 13a) disposed in a compressive stress field of a bend; a tension-side wall part (11a) disposed in a tensile stress field of the bend; and a coupling wall part (10b, 11b) that couples the compression-side wall part (10a, 12a, 13a) and the tension-side wall part (11a). The neutral axis (A) of the bend is disposed in the vicinity of the compression-side wall part (10a, 12a, 13a). For example, the compression-side wall part (10a, 12a, 13a) is higher in material strength, and/or larger in sheet thickness, than the tension-side wall part (11a). |
