A VCC generator preventing the latch up capable of being generated in the VCC generator of the liquid crystal display(LCD) is provided to prevent the latch up which can be generated in the boosting mode or the normal operation mode. A VCC generator preventing the latch up comprises the followings: the charge pump circuit(430) which is controlled with the first or the third enable signal, and is generated the first or the fourth voltages by boosting the internal power voltage(440) generated from the external power voltage; the detection unit which is detected the first or the third voltage and is generated the first or the third FLAG signal which the logic high level is when reaching the reference voltage level of the respective predetermined or the logic low level is when not reaching this; the charge pump controller(410) in which the first or the fourth voltages are successively generated by generating the first or the third enable signal of the respective after the first or the third FLAG signal is received.
