A water suction device for a vacuum cleaner is provided to absorb effectively the water by firmly maintaining airtight and using the attracting force of the vacuum cleaner. The water suction device for a vacuum cleaner consists of a water collecting tank(10) of which space for collecting the water is formed in the inner side and of which a fitting groove is formed in the upper side; a lid(20) of which a handle(25) is equipped in the center portion; a locking apparatus(12) for fixing the lid and the water collecting tank by being hanged on to be fixed to a jaw(24) formed in the lid; and a suction nozzle(40) which is formed at the end side of a suction hose(H) connected to a nozzle connection(23). The water collecting tank and the lid are made of ABS resin. An inlet(22) and the nozzle connection are made of different shapes. A adapter(23A) of the tapered shape is equipped in the nozzle connection.
