In the present invention, there is disclosed a food supplement or a pharmaceutical composition containing a vegetable extract or concentrate being selected from the group consisting of extracts or concentrates prepared from Allium, Petroselinum, Brassica and Eruca plant species or mixtures of such extracts or concentrates. The above-indicated extracts or concentrates are suitable for the preparation of a medicament or nutritional formulation for the treatment or prophylaxis of a disease or condition, which is characterized by increased bone resorption, such as PugetÆs disease, tumor-induced bone disease and particularly osteoporosis. |
