Class 132(3) The root ends A3 of the stems of a one-piece moulded shuttlecock skirt merge at A4 to form an end ring from which a tubular collar B extends. The striking cap C embraces the collar and extends as far as the ring A4 to give support to the stems where they begin to diverge. In the construction shown in Fig. 3, the ring A4 is connected to the stem extension collar B1 by a stepped portion F. The collar is shown as open-ended but it may be closed at one or both ends. The skirt may be made of polythene or nylon and the striking cap of expanded P.V.C. Dimensions of the skirt, collar and cap are specified. Specifications 670,147 and 686,403 are referred to. |
