<p>A disposable procedure mat 2 comprises a single sheet 4 that is non-permeable and absorbent and provides a single sheet working area 6 and a waste disposal bag 8 that is formed from the single sheet 4 along one side of the mat 2. Sealing means 18 are provided for sealing the waste disposal bag 8, which further comprises a mouth 16 that hangs open during use of the mat 2. Cut-in portions 20 are provided at each side of the mouth 16 for allowing the entire working area 6 to be placed into the waste disposal bag 8 after use. The waste disposal bag 8 is sealed with the sealing means 18 and thereby contains the used single sheet working area 6 and waste. The mat may additionally comprise an adhesive fastener strip 22 for attaching the mat to a work surface and the sealing means 18 may also comprise an adhesive strip. The sheet of the mat may have side drapes for protecting the surrounding environment and may be fabricated from a viscose or paper absorbent material with a polyethylene backing.</p> |
