PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an optically active p-aryl ester compound or an optically active N-substituted-β-arylamide compound useful in an intermediate, etc., for medicines and agrochemicals in high optical yield and high yield. SOLUTION: An arylboronic acid is reacted with an α,β-unsaturated ester or an N-substituted-α,β-unsaturated amide in the presence of a rhodium compound and an optically active phsophine compound. Thereby, the optically active aryl β-ester compound or the optically active N-substituted-7-β-arylamide compound having a high optical yield can readily be produced. |
