A method for managing the mobility of a mobile station in a mobile communication system using the mobile IPv6, and a system therefor are provided to process data communication safely and efficiently by performing the authentication related to IP call processing in a mobile IP process. Each of BSs(base stations)(107, 108, 109 ) establish a wireless connection with a mobile station(110) located within each cell, service coverage, and then communicate with the mobile station. An SRNC(Signaling Radio Network controller)(105, 106) control the communication of the mobile station through the BS in case the mobile terminal is in the idle mode. The mobile station is a mobile node which connects to a packet data network like the Internet through access gateways(103, 104).
