Processes for converting cyclic oligomers into thermoplastic PBT products

The method involves providing reinforcement fibers of a fiber structure e.g. fleece, and a plastic matrix from a polyester. The polyester fibers with arranged crystallinity are converted to the fiber structure, and the fiber structure is converted into a fiber-reinforced plastic article forming the plastic matrix. Surfaces of the fibers are melted in the fiber-reinforced article. The surfaces are reinforced by the formation of a non-melted part of the fibers, which encloses isotropic plastic matrix, where the fiber-reinforced article is made of polybutylenterephthalate (PBT) or PBT alloy.
