A gateway for making IP addresses transparent, a method therefor and a computer program recording medium are provided to prevent hacking of a web server by illegal traffic. A method for recording the IP address of the first node on the log of the second node in a gateway mediating the connection to the second node from the first node includes the following steps of: receiving a service request from the first node(S401); searching the IP address of the first node in the received service request to store it in a shared memory, and then processing the received service request according to the TCP/IP protocol to set up/output the IP address of the gateway as a source IP address(S403,S405); hooking the outputted service request(S407); and substituting the IP address of the first node stored in the shared memory for the source IP address of the hooked service(S411,S413).
