<p>Button or label attacher for cloth, plastics, or foil, or for joining 2 thicknesses of cloth has a locking sleeve of shape-retaining material, pref. plastics with a high friction coeff. with a flexible pref. plastics filament fixed to one end on the outside. The other sleeve and has a sharp edge. An intermediate portion at least of the filament, and the sleeve are to cooperate, to retain the intermediate portion within the sleeve. The sleeve is placed on one side of the sheet and the object opposite it on the other side, and the filament is passed through the sheet, through the object, through the sheet again, and then through the sleeve via the sharp-edged end. The filament coming out of the first end of the sleeve is pulled, to press it against the sharp edge. At least part of the intermediate portion of the filament is within the sleeve.</p> |
