<p>In a process and assembly to separate a mixture of waste materials, the novelty is that: (a) the mixture is first composted pref. under conditions of force-fed air and/or is stabilised; (b) the components of the resulting mixture are then separated into a combustible fraction and an incombustible fraction; (c) the fractions are separated by sieve, winnowing or fluid classification; (d) the mixture is crushed or shredded into particles, or homogenised, before biological treatment; and (e) valuable materials are first removed before the biological or homogenisation treatments.</p> |
