A method and an apparatus for filling a silo (<HIL><PDAT>1</BOLD><PDAT>) with a fluidizable material. The arrangement includes conveying devices (<HIL><PDAT>5, 9</BOLD><PDAT>) for supplying material to an upper area of the silo and a central material distributor (<HIL><PDAT>10</BOLD><PDAT>). The material distributor includes a tank (<HIL><PDAT>29</BOLD><PDAT>) which has an inlet (<HIL><PDAT>28</BOLD><PDAT>) and one or more distributor pipes (<HIL><PDAT>26, 26</BOLD><PDAT>') for distributing material to one or more feed units (<HIL><PDAT>11, 11</BOLD><PDAT>')which convey the material down towards the surface of the material in the silo.</PTEXT> |
