A motorised equipment for preparing equestrian surfaces is fitted to a tractor hitch or have a self propelled mounting. The equipment has cultivators (2, 3, 4) to prepare the texture of the riding surface and a set of water sprays, supplied by an integral water tank (50) to control the moisture content of the ground to prevent dust. The water is incorporated directly into the ground and has a limited effect on the humidity of the air, e.g. inside riding halls. The system can be used for both interior and exterior riding surfaces.
