A drain valve used as an air vent and a drain apparatus using the same are provided to drain during open operation and block a drain during close operation with smaller installation costs. A drain valve(100) for an air vent includes the following units. A valve body(110) includes a bowl rotation hole(113) between an entrance(111) and an exit(112). A bowl(120) includes opening holes(121) penetrated from the entrance to the exit. A leakage preventing member(114) is fixed in one end and installed in the middle unit of a valve body to rotate the bowl. A bowl shaft(130) penetrates the leakage preventing member to expose another end to the outside. A drain valve includes a handle(140) fixed to another end of the bowl shaft to rotate the bowl shaft. An air inflow hole is penetrated with the bowl rotation hole.
