Device for producing hydrogen gas from ammonia, comprises an ammonia feeder, a chamber for dissociation of ammonia, a chamber for separation of gas obtained from the dissociation chamber (5), a circuit for recycling of gas, a circuit for distribution of the hydrogen and nitrogen mixture, where: the ammonia dissociation chamber contains catalysts (50), and contains a heat source, heaters supplied with electricity, positioned within or outside the chamber, for starting the installation; and the dissociation chamber is fixed to the separation chamber. Device for producing hydrogen gas from ammonia, comprises an ammonia feeder, a chamber for dissociation of ammonia, a chamber for separation of gas obtained from the dissociation chamber (5), a circuit for recycling of gas, a circuit for distribution of the hydrogen and nitrogen mixture, where the feeding in ammonia of the device is controlled by the hydrogen flow measured at the outlet of the device, the ammonia dissociation chamber contains one of the catalysts (50) for chemical equilibrium (1 mole of nitrogen and 3 moles of hydrogen to give 2 moles of ammonia) for the synthesis and decomposition of ammonia, and contains a heat source, heaters supplied with electricity, positioned within or outside the chamber, for starting the installation, the heat source is used to raise the temperature for dissociation chamber to a suitable temperature, preferably greater than 460[deg] K, caloric intake of the heat source ceasing the production of sufficient hydrogen once, heat necessary for dissociation of ammonia molecules are supplied through the distribution circuit of hydrogen and nitrogen mixture produced by the combustion of a part of the hydrogen in a gas burner or similar device, which is laid in the dissociation chamber, the dissociation chamber is fixed to the separation chamber, the chamber containing water, which is intended to dissolve the residual ammonia, water of the separation chamber is usually cooled, the water contained in the separation chamber, which is filled in non-decomposed ammonia, nitrogen and dissolved hydrogen, and water is recycled through the recycling circuit in chamber for dissociation for the decomposition of residual ammonia, which is present in the chamber.
