A method for recycling indium is provided to effectively refine in a short time by adding metal in which the ionization tendency is big is added in the indium containing material containing the different impurity. A method for recycling indium including the steps following: a step of obtaining the precipitate including the indium the metal in which the ionization tendency is greater than the indium is added after indium containing material is dissolved at acid(S1~S4); and a step that after dissolves the precipitate including indium at acid, it adds the indium and it precipitates and removes impurity(S5~S8). The indium containing material includes the indium about the indium containing material whole to 10 weight% through 1 and the acid dissolving the indium containing material selects in the group consisting of hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and the nitric acid and their combination.
