PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument display device which improves the appearance and visibility of design display by a light guiding member which emits light by guiding the light of a light source. ; SOLUTION: The light guiding member 50 made of resin which is smoked to reduce light transmittance is arranged above a speed indicator display section 40a and a fuel gauge display section 40b which are formed on a display panel 40, thereby reducing the luminous intensity of the part covered by the light guiding member 50, providing the part with muted tone, and enhancing the contrast with the part which is not covered thereby. The light guiding member 50 comprises a circular section which covers the vicinity of the periphery of the speed indicator display section 40a and a flat section which covers the periphery of the fuel gauge display section 40b.; The circular section has an arch-shaped cross section with its top pointing toward far side of the surface of the display panel 40, thereby increasing the stereoscopic effect and depth effect of a scale section of the speed indicator, providing it with different appearance from the periphery of the fuel gauge to achieve novel design, and improving the appearance of the indicator display device 30. ; COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT.
