A method for managing the mobility of a mobile terminal by using the proxy mobile Internet protocol and a system therefor are provided to safely and quickly process data communication by performing the authentication related to IP call processing in a PMP process. In a mobile communication network, a method for managing the mobility of a mobile station by using the proxy mobile internet protocol(PMIP) includes the following steps. The access authentication between the MS(Mobile Station) and an AAA(Authentication, Authorization and Accounting) server(101) is performed. An AG(Access Gate) sends a PBU(Proxy Binding Update) message of the MS to an HA(Home Agent) when an address assignment requesting message is received from the MS. A PBA(Proxy Binding Acknowledge) message is received from the HA in response to the PBU message.
