<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endothermic material excellent in water resistance and fire resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The endothermic material is produced by dispersing in the inside of a substrate a metal hydrate having a water content of 6 wt.% or more and a dehydration or decomposition temperature in the range of 50-200°C wherein the metal hydrate is modified such that the moisture evaporation rate in an atmosphere of not lower than the dehydration or decomposition temperature is decreased as compared with the moisture evaporation rate of the unmodified metal hydrate in the same atmosphere. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
