PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a progressive die assembly for manufacturing laminated cores wherein a relatively simple and inexpensive configuration is adopted but yet laminated cores can be smoothly manufactured. SOLUTION: A blank die 13 is constructed of: a die portion 31 for punching core thin plates 17, 18 out of a hoop material W; and a squeeze ring portion 32 that is so formed that it continues to the die portion 31 and gives lateral pressure to the punched-out core thin plates 17, 18. In the squeeze ring portion 32, the following straight portions are formed: straight portions 34, 35 that are in slidable contact with the magnetic pole portions 17a, 18a of the core thin plates 17, 18 and are formed flush with the inner surface of the die portion 31; a straight portion 36 that is in slidable contact with the yoke portions 17b, 18b of the core thin plates 17, 18 and is formed flush with the inner surface of the die portion 31; and a straight portion 37 that is in slidable contact with the inside diameter portions 17c, 18c of the core thin plates 17, 18 and is formed flush with the inner surface of the die portion 31.
