PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic flowmeter which does not require useless communication checking operation by displaying as a communication impossible state on a display part. SOLUTION: The electronic flowmeter 1 is provided with a flow rate measuring part 19 for detecting a flow rate, the display part 15 for displaying information such as a measured value obtained by the flow rate measuring part 19 and an alarm, and a communication terminal connection part 16a to which the communication terminal 20 can be connected. The electronic flowmeter 1 further includes a short circuit determination means for determining whether a communication line 16 is short-circuited, when the communication terminal 20 is connected to the electronic flowmeter 1, and communicates through the communication line 16 attached on an electronic flowmeter 1 side or a communication terminal 20 side. The electronic flowmeter 1 includes a display control means for displaying a short circuit alarm indicating that communication is impossible due to the short circuit when the short circuit determination means determines that the communication line 16 is short-circuited.
