PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a test space, reduce the number of machining man-hours of an exhaust system at test, and improve test accuracy. SOLUTION: In an engine bench in which an engine 1 is axially connected to a dynamometer 8, the dynamometer 8 is constituted of a dynamometer main body part 10 and a dynamo bed 9 supporting the main body part 10. In the dynamo bed 9, breadthwise metal plates 15-17; axial metal plates 18-23; an upper plate 9'; and a bottom plate 35 are welded to one another to form a bed main body part 24 having a width narrower than the upper plate 9' and the bottom plate 35, and reinforcing blocks 27-30 are welded to both sides of a lower part of the bed main body part 24. An engine exhaust system 7 is passed through an upper position of a side part of the bed main body part 24 than the reinforcing blocks 27-30. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
