PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger having superior heat exchanging efficiency and a small pressure loss during frosting. SOLUTION: The heat exchanger 100 is equipped with a heat transfer tube 33 for distributing a refrigerant inside the heat exchanger 100, and a plurality of fins 31 aligned in parallel to each other to form an air flow passage on the outside of the heat transfer tube 33. Louvered parts 111, 121, 131 are provided on the surface of the fins 31 for promoting heat exchange by applying change of the air flow direction. Each of the louvered parts 111, 121, 131 extends diagonally from a fin 31 toward another fin 31 adjacent to the fin 31 where it is provided. Heights H<SB>1</SB>, H<SB>2</SB>, H<SB>3</SB>of the louvered parts 111, 121, 131 are equal to a gap P between a pair of fins 31, 31 adjacent to each other. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
