PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a substrate with carbon nanotubes which comprises a substrate and, firmly fixed thereto, carbonaceous aggregates including carbon nanotubes and being substantially free of a binder component is firmly fixed. SOLUTION: The method includes: preparing a preparatory body 20 to be fixed in which a wet carbonaceous aggregate 22 being a liquid medium including substantially no binder component is placed on a support 24; and firmly fixing the aggregate 22 to the substrate 34 by drying while pressing the aggregate 22 to the substrate 34. The method of preparing the preparatory body 20 preferably comprises filtering a dispersion 10 in which a carbonaceous material 12 consisting mainly of carbon nanotubes is dispersed in the liquid medium 14 by using a filter (support) 24.
