PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle moving type car washing machine whose constitution is simplified. SOLUTION: The vehicle moving type car washing machine 10 is furnished with a carriage running path 31 leading from the inlet to a washing arrangement to its outlet, in which wires 33 coupled with the front and rear of a carriage 30 are driven in the regular and reverse directions by a wire driving device 32, whereby the carriage 30 with a vehicle 1 placed thereon is reciprocated along the carriage running path 31.
