摘要 <p>A starter control system (12) for a combustion engine (14) is disclosed. The starter control system may have a first starter (16a) and a second starter (16b) each coupled to independently initiate cranking of the combustion engine (14), and a sensor (19) to generate a first signal indicative of an operational condition. The starter control system (12) may further include a controller (20) communicatively coupled to the first (16a) and second (16b) starters and the sensor (19). The controller (20) may be configured to determine a status of the first starter (16a) and a status of the second starter (16b) based on the first signal, and command one of the first (16a) and second (16b) starters to crank the combustion engine (14) to an ignition speed based the status of the first starter (16a) and the status of the second starter (16b) in response to a request to start the combustion engine (14). The status of the starters can be failed state, unavailable or ready state. The operator can manually select the first or one of the starters cannot be used. For work machines or marine vessels.</p>
