An alpha blending system and a method thereof are provided to improve image integration for the entire alpha blending because a buffer amount of a storing unit is reduced. A video receiver(1) receives a video signal. A coordinate obtaining unit(3) obtains a coordinate of a caption portion overlaid in the received video signal and packetizes the coordinate. A controller(5) stores the caption location of an alpha blending signal corresponding to the packetized coordinate. And the controller reads the stored alpha blending signal, loads a caption image and provides the stored alpha blending signal with caption image. An alpha blending unit(9) loads and multiplexes the alpha blending signal in which the caption image is loaded in the received video signal. |
