<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump control device which determines deviation of delivery quantity characteristics of fuel supply pump executing appropriate process, and a fuel injection system using the same. <P>SOLUTION: ECU 40 decompresses pressure of a common rail 20 to predetermined pressure by forcibly opening decompression valve 24 when an engine operation condition is stable. The ECU 40 return fuel pressure of the common rail 20 to pressure before decompression by the decompression valve 24 by controlling excitation of a quantity regulation valve 18 of a high pressure pump 16 based on a map of a delivery quantity characteristics of the high pressure pump 16. The ECU 40 determines if deviation of delivery quantity of the high pressure pump 16 when fuel pressure of the common rail 20 is returned to pressure before decompression, and deviation of fuel discharge quantity discharged from the common rail 20 by the decompression valve 24 is predetermined value or greater. The ECU 40 determines deviation of delivery quantity characteristics of the high pressure pump 16 form deviation between delivery quantity of the high pressure pump 16 and delivery quantity of the decompression valve 24, and compensates delivery quantity characteristics according to deviation quantity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
